I have no idea how to do stuff like that..I think its a pic of the car with the hood down, then another pic with the hood up, and the hood up layer opacity is lower than normal..

Never messed with it..

yea its 2 layers, the top layer is the hood down the lower layer is the car with hood up but the hood erased out, just select the upper layer and erase where you want to see the lower layer using a feather to get the look you want...pretty simple to do dave, if you dont want to try it I might give it a shot after this weekend...
