water pump bolts

Post by Bagged_87_S10 on Sat Apr 11, 2009 5:41 pm

Soo i was going to change my water pump out and that should have only taken bout 30 min or so to do. I only had to take some pullys and my fan off and remove other stuff.. so far i have most of bolts out. I have two bolts that are striped out from another owner before me and i cant get them out.. so untill then i cant drive my truck till the new pumps on. The bolt heads are round and have a star pattern in the middle... so if any one has any tip on how to get them out would be alot of help...

this really sucks only two bolts holdin me up and i dont know what to do with out breakin somthing.

post a pic is the star patter rounded off? if not buy the key that would fit in there if anything drill them out and retap it for the new bolts to work. another option dependin on how much room is to weld a nut on that bolt and go from there
