just ordered some hid's anyone every installed hid kits? goin w H1 bulbs... 12000k temp color...

so your putting headlights that you wont be able to see a darn thing with on your truck but at least it will look cool the highest Id personally go is a 8000k and even that is not that good and they def fall off the grid fast after that

They are easy to install, most kits are plug and play. I wouldnt have gone with the 12,000k kit, the higher the kelvin the less light on the road. I went with 6000, I have used the 8000 and it was blue then I tried 10,000 and those were way too blue and could harldy see the road. Right now on all vehicles I went with 6000k. Hopefully you like them. Post up some pics and also where did you get them from? JIMMY

and as far as seeing... aftermarket projectors suck ass! atleast every pair i have owned anyways... as far as the brightness aspect anyways

4300 is the closest to daylight but the higher the kelvin the less light on the road. I use nothin but 6000, I have the rest but like the 6000 the best. JIMMY

as far as other cars seeing it they will look more purple but on the road it will be a faint light. Try to get another kelvin if you can. JIMMY

shit thats why i like my fog lights ask any one i never drive with my head lights on only parks and fogs... they are so bright they light up the road and i have people flash their brights at me all the time i love it ha ha

thats what im wanting is a more "purple" look.. i dont know why but i have seen a lexus rolling around with 12000k n it looks pretty bad ass! but hell like i said, if they arnt something i dont like... its not like im losing an assload of money on them! only 100$
