FIRE FIGHTER BENEFIT MAY 23rd

I am hosting a car show benefit in my town (Grant Park, IL, 60940) on May 23rd. The show will start at 3 and end around 8. It will be participants vote, and the top 10 vote getters will get a trophy. Showing will be $15 to enter. All proceeds will go to Raul (fire fighter). We will have a few raffles goin on that day too. There is also a park there if you want to bring with children. There is a playground and 2 halfcourt basketball hoops. We will have bean bags there also and are working on setting up a tournament. Following the show we will have a dance in the legion. As of right now I am working on being able to have everyone bring their own drinks. I will let everyone knows about the alcohol status as soon as I find out. If anyone would like to donate, sponsor or anything for the show please pm me and we can talk. Please spread the word and I hope that everyone can make it!!

The fire fighters name is Raul Cervantes. He was at Carol Stream for 5 years Grant park for 7 and Monee for 6 part time. He was in a motorcycle club called the Renegade Pigs its all cops and firemen and that always do a hog roast to benefit an officer or fireman thats gone down. He had just finished up with all the pre plans for the event and was on his way to meet the rest of the guys from the club when a guy pulled out in front of him while he was doin 55 mph on his motorcycle. He hit the car and broke his back and partially severed his spinal cord. He is now paralyzed from the waist down with a 50 50 shot of ever getting up.

I will have to try to get another saturday off for this show. I have problems getting all the saturdays off work for shows. If I do get to make it, I would be willing to help you out where you need at the show.

DJ if Im making the cruise down the dreaded i-57 you will have to.. and its for a good cause. And I get to see firetrucks. Can I hit the buttons for the sirens and lights?

and I don't have much room in the house, but if people want to throw a tent up in the yard, be my guest. When the legion closes for the night, if people still want to kick it we will have a after party at my house. Up to all you guys

Just found out today, and it is a go for the BYOB for the after party at the legion. We will have a dj there spinnin, so it will be a great time. The dance is open to whomever, so even if you don't enter a vehicle you can still come. And there is no charge for the dance. The show will be 3-8 and the dance will be 8:30-1. And if people are still wanting to party after, we can go to my house and have a after party and a bonfire!
