Re: Project: Slammed I Am

so the front fenders, header panel, grill, and radiator are out and I started pulling my control arms off so i can powder coat them this week...I got the uppers off, and found out I am in BAD need of new ball joints...so now I need to go buy me some...glad I am broke and cant afford any...lol..I also noticed my tie rod ends are slightly bent so I am going to need some new ones of those also...
any how, I also have the calipers off and getting ready to paint those...tomorrow I am going to pull the lower arms off and get the spindles loose, and I am going to tear the 4-link bars off so those can be coated to...my buddy has a sandblaster so once the engine is pulled we are going to sandblast the frame and rear end and I am going to paint it all up...

i have my calipers painted, my upper arms have the ball joints out now and are 50% cleaned...should be ready to powdercoat them this weekend..I got the passenger side spindle off and ready to sandblast and prep for paint and almost got the lower arm off, but ran out of light..tomorrow I am going to finish up the passenger side and tear off the driver side...hopefully by this weekend everything will be off and ready for paint or powder, then i can concentrate on pulling the engine and getting the frame and firewall finished...

Glad you caught the balljoint when you did. Never a good thing to have one pop on you while driving

well, after clearing the second arm, which you have to do with the chrome powder..it turned into what the other one look liked..not sure why? anyhow, not really disapointed about it since i liked how the other arm looks, but i did add some prism metalic to the clear to make it pop more and re cleared both arms.. i will get pics up as soon as they cool off...
