Craigs Blazer
Heres a 96 S10 blazer i bodydropped last year for Craig Collier from Paducah, KY. He brought it to me as a roller in late febuary 06.

And here is the plan

Started by building a 3/4 SFBD frame made of 3''x3'' .25 wall square tubing and 1 1/2'' .125 wall round tube. The bag crossmember is made of 1 1/4'' schedule 40 pipe and tight radius bends.

Narrowed Ford 9'' rearend 13'' and centered the pinion

Sectioned 2door blazer gastank

The bags are Slam RE7s, wheels are 20 x 8.5" Boyd Coddington Slayers up front & 22 x 10" Slayers out back with 4" backspacing and a 6'' lip with Nitto NT555 tires. The front also has ART tubular uppers and lowers with Belltech drop spindles.

After the frame was built we decided to do a smooth floor so i made the structure out of 1''x1'' 14ga square tubing and the skin is 14ga. I made the floor hug the 4link in case he wanted to try to get a backseat in or a huge stereo.

While i was at it he decided he wanted to do a SBC swap so i made a firewall too.

After that i was really done with the job but he liked what i was doing so he had me do the body mods too. First i made the rear wheeltubs

Then i shaved the tailights, rear wiper, locks, tailgate, and welded on a rear bumper shaver. After that we shaved the cab seam on the c pillar and rounded the door corners. Shaved the mirrors but i made the filler low so it kept the stock bodyline. Then i put in a 38''x70'' sliding ragtop and shaved the roofribs in the back.

He bought a 98+ s10 frontend with chrome bumper, grille, billet grill, and diamond clear headlights and markers. After that we took it to a local bodyshop and had the bodywork and primer done before taking it to Showfest

The truck was finished at this point but i kept it till Midwest Dragfest when he came and got it.

Once he had it he lifted the body off and painted the frame and suspension pieces. Then he stripped the body for an odd reason and shaved the handles and gasdoor.

Hes moving houses right now and when his shop is built hes gonna get back on it.
