91 s10 4.3 problems..need info

the s10 is a 91 with a 4.3 and the truck will start but wont stay running...will run if you stay on the gas but wont idle?....whats the deal?

thats how my 95 jimmy was.. i could drive but had to fiddle with the gas while stopped... if u figure it out, let me know cuz i wouldnt mind trying to get it running better to sell it.
