[Project]: Allergic to Time (51' GMC Truck)
51' GMC 3-Window Build
Well, making the story short, here are the cliff notes:
-My brothers' dad purchased the truck way back in the 70's and towed it behind his schoolbus turned camper, with the harley in the bed of the truck. Bought it from Washington State, and it had things changed before that, including went from stick to auto, and a big motor put in, I still have no idea what it is.. lol.
-Gave it to me and my brothers about 10 years ago, and we started tearing it apart to do a frame up on. Ended up getting it apart, cleaning up the frame and POR15'ing it.
-Few years later, sand blasted cab and primed and realized I wouldn't be taking it to prom like I dreampt of as a kid.
-2 years ago my brothers' dad lost his life in a fire at his bar he owned. He tried putting the fire out, and wasn't successful.
-Now that my brother's are pass the grief stage, my younger of the two older brother's really has motivation to get this back together, and I do as well.
-Yesterday, took a bunch of parts to the sandblaster, so we can start the body work.
Plans:
Get it back together and drive it basically.. Basic body work and what not for now.
Eventually a S-10 long bed frame with air ride.
Built up 350 Engine
Pics soon.

Just picked up a gallon of red primer so I can hit those bare metal parts when I get back and start on body work...

Yesterday, me and the sandblaster got one of the fenders, emblem, and small front end parts finished blasted. Also took apart some of the front end parts as he did some of the fender...

Re: [Project]: Allergic to Time (51' GMC Truck)
Got some of the parts that he sandblasted back...

Took em across the parking lot from Bobby's shop to Dave's Shop
Got some sneak peaks of his ride's progress..

Primed the parts I got back..

Not it's drying and I am waiting for him to finish the rest of the sand blasting... Body work that is really needed should be started soon!

Re: [Project]: Allergic to Time (51' GMC Truck)
Not too much to update, but I got the doors taken apart and glass removed so we can get them sand blasted..

Then off to my buddys garage to see that he got more stuff blasted...

Then got a few more small peices painted before getting fustrated with my buddys compressor.
Brought a few dry peices home when I left.
