project : never done
guess i could make a thread with my project. been working on it for awhile.... few years now. Since its a complete one-off, its been togeher and apart a few times.
**sorry but most of my pics will be camera phone pics.
frame is finally done. 17ft.

I am shooting to have it driveable by mid summer.
but here are some old pics... so you get the idea.

rendering.. kinda what i want.

I picked up a used rearend sunday and some other parts i needed.
also snagged a set of ZQ8 rims and tires to use during the mockup or until tax time when i can buy a new set of rims it was setup for.
not alot of pics but here are a few....
decided i wanted to put drag plates on the bottom of the frame, so went and spent 40 bux for 2 strips of some cold rolled steel..... 7ft each to be exact.

my buddy chris grinding down the weld buggers from the used axle.

changin out the seal and fluid

Re: project : never done
a few updates... had a chance to work on it some this week.
last pic of the motor orange, torn it down to paint it black.

pic after paint, not put back together yet, waiting to order a glimer belt drive kit w pulleys and a smaller power steering pump. And still need to paint or coat my headers.

Started on a tranny crossmember, used the kit from SD but modified it a bit for my application.

Finished pic installed

then worked on making my tank mounts, compressor and battery trays. ended up making a rack for 2 compressors and 2 batterys. Still need to finish welding the bottomside and adding a few gussets. But i think it worked out ok and will still be under the bed floor.

thats all for now, new fuel cell will be here sometime next week, got it in plain aluminum, wish i could have gotten it in blue but oh well. More updates to come. If all goes well, should and i say should be ready to drive to sparks.
