Fallen Mini Truckers Foundation
Found this posted up on SSM..its a really good idea...support it if you can, I know I will...
Hey guys, we recently had a tragedy in our town involving a fellow minitrucker. He was on his bike at night, going into a hard curve, and there was a 2000lb Texas longhorn in his lane....without going into details, he was killed instantly. This has brought all of the surrounding minitruckers together in my area. The guys decided to throw a dragsession the next night after the death in honor of him. I didn't know him personally, but his friends called me up to see if I would be interested in joining them in the dragsession. I didn't hesitate to go and offer support to all of his friends and family. Every since that night, about a month ago now, I feel like there is something we can do in situations like this one. So I have started the Foundation for Fallen MiniTruckers. This will be a foundation to help emotionally, spiritually, and financially (if needed) to our families who have lost a fellow minitrucker. I see great potential in this b/c we seem to always have each others back, especially in times of tragedy. Most of you guys don't know me yet, but I have recently started a carshow apparel co. called WhyWear? www.why-wear.com Robbie over at Keg-Media is my artist/designer. I have started a FMT clothing line as well to help fund this foundation. Every dollar made off of each shirt sold, will go directly into the foundation to help out our fellow MT families. Our first design will debut at Turkey Drag, but our second design needs ya'lls help. I want to do a memorial shirt with every fallen MT's name on it....so shoot me an email with your fallen friend's name (first and last), year of birth, year of death, and possibly a pic of his/her ride as well. There will be a website soon and I plan on having a memorial wall on this site for you to post info. in honor of all of our fallen MTs....pics and etc. Please help support this cause, b/c there is great potential in this area for everyone to make a difference in our scene. Sorry for the lenghthy writeup, but thanks for reading.
God Bless,
Shay Wiggins
