Haha, no. But if things go right, it could be in Ernie's shop this weekend. I gotta get this thing finished, cause I'm going to have a baby to take care of this winter.

I finally got my truck into Ernie's. It's looking kinda slow around his shop too, so that's good. He's wanting me to come do the grunt work on it, and help with something on his '50 Chevy, so it looks like I'll be keeping busy for a while. My classes at the union hall start up right after Labor Day too...

Suprisingly, they got some work done on my truck today. I got the bed all ready to pull off. Paint before the snow flies?

Worked a little bit more on my truck after work. I've got this smooth wiper cowl I got for free several years ago that never quite fit right. It needs a little work, and Ernie is a good fiberglasser. I decided to completely take out the wiper linkage, and he is going to fiberglass the wiper arm holes shut in it.

I got the fenders off. They may shoot some primer on it tomorrow. Ernie is already talking about spraying color next week. That's crazy talk though. Either way, it's moving right along.

He told me today that he likes my first gen. He thinks it's cute. Hahah.

Went to my girlfriend's sonogram today. It's a boy!

My new front bumper support showed up today. I'll stop by Ernie's shop tomorrow between work and class and probably put it on. I think he's gonna have some sanding for me to do though.

Yeah it never ends.

What have you been up to? I think I've only seen your truck on the road a few times this summer.

Other than getting it all back in one piece, there's only a few things I wanna change this winter to get it ready for next year. I'm gonna be ready to hit the road as soon as the weather breaks. I think I put 5 miles on my truck this year.

Here's what it's lookin' like right now. The bodywork on the doors is primed over, and the rest of the paint is all scuffed. I put my ragtop back in today so the bodywork around the shaved third brake light can be finished. The whole truck should be in primer fairly soon, I'd imagine.

Oh and the cab drip rails aren't shaved, because the door handles aren't shaved, and the door handles aren't shaved because the gas door isn't shaved, and the gas door isn't shaved because my 5 link uses the stock gas tank location. scratch

The fenders are primered too. The bed should be coming off next week. Shouldn't be too much longer, I hope. I think he primed it, that way he'd have some spending money for the swap meet at the Hunnert Car Pile Up tomorrow.

Ernie working on my totally smoothed out wiper cowl. Not gonna have any wipers at all. "This thing fits like a saddle on a giraffe." ...He's puttin' a little work in on it.

Bed off:

Third brake light bodywork finished up and the rest of the cab primered.

I made a last minute decision to go ahead and shave the antenna. It's gonna get done tomorrow. I brought home my bumper, grille, and mirrors and wet sanded them tonight.

Truck might be getting painted this weekend.
