SFBD on 22s son!

SD uppers, lowers and drop spindles

The frame so far is the usual 2x3. Its gonna have a lever 4 link, Airlift 2600s, oasis compressor, 12gal tank. Im really gonna try to keep the tires under that hood, may have to massage some metal tho.

Got the motor put in and dropped. I just took out the frame mount pads and welded the mounts directly to the frame.

Clearance at the oil pan

Tranny crossmember

Had to put 2 exhaust rings in since we cant run a Y pipe. I had big steve split a piece of 2x3 and welded them on the inside then attatched the mount tabs to that. I did this so we could still run the fuel and brake lines without having to go around the crossmember.
Fuel cell

As of now i got the tranny tunnel cut out and the body is hovering over the frame.

he's been working on it, but has come across some problems trying to get everything to fit with the 22's. He's working on the floor right now, before he pulls it apart to paint Smile

So ive made some progress on it as of late. Body was a bitch to mount and i redid the mounts 3 times before i was happy with them.

By the time i cut out the back half of the floor and the floorpans there wasnt much of the stock floor left so we decided to just build one. Its framed by 1x1 14ga square and skinned with 16ga cold rolled. I put some bead rolls in the floorpans to add a lil strength.

Worked on the firewall today. I always hate how the underside of the wheel wells are almost never finished so i made the firewall tub wider thn needed and trimmed it to fit the fender profile.

One neat thing were going on the inside is building the interior panels out of metal and making them mimick the outside sheetmetal.
Stock

Being fabricated.

Im going to go back and put a beadroll down the length of the panel the same height as the outside bead.
Lastly we have this little problem

I already think i know what im gonna do, just gotta see how it works.

Do the front wheels camber enough to clear the fenders, or are the fenders not bolted down all the way?

tires clear the fenders laid out, they may hit as the suspension cycles tho.
