Greetings...
Howdy, folks...
I'm new to Midwest Minis, but certainly not new to
the Midwest or to small trucks. Oswego, Illinois calls me its favorite
son... when it wants something from me.
I'm a retired several-time
Grandpa, with two sons and a daughter; I spent most of my working years
doing automotive-related petrochemical research for Amoco Oil Company
at its corporate research center. My older son rocks a Ranger FX4, and
he introduced me to the addicting world of "mini-trucks," and Ford
Rangers in particular. His Ranger SuperCab 4x4 with a 4.0 engine &
automatic is about as different as you can get from my Ranger
RegularCab 2wd Flareside with a 2.3 Duratec engine and stick shift.
But, that's the attraction of a Ranger: It can be almost anything I
want it to be... and mine is a fun truck for me. Originally, I bought
it as errand-runner as well as an economical ride for my daily 100 mile
round-trip to school; it did and does both of those jobs perfectly.
Okay,
my blabbermouth introduction is over, and I'll go snoop around to see
what's going on around here. Just for what it's worth, I'll include a
picture of a couple of the most important things in my life...
