My Mazda

Post by Guilty By Design on Thu Jun 18, 2009 1:26 am

This is my lil daily dragger. I bought it back earlier this year from a friend and test drove it 1300 miles to tex mex. Its an 88, 4cly/5spd, bagged f/b with a monoleaf in the rear (i know i know) she aint the prettiest thing but dammit she runs good.

First thing i did was choke the front down from 1/2'' line and valves to 3/8. Then i started doing little visual things like painting the wheels

The motor had 280,000 miles on it and it just didnt have the balls to pull up hills anymore so i swapped it out over the weekend for a rebuilt motor. Im now running a webber 32/36, pacesetter header that i wrapped, and an electric fan. While i was under the hood i cleaned up the motor bay by putting in inner fenders, rerouting the wiring harness, relocating the battery to the bed, and a whole lotta paint and bedliner.

Before

After

Gonna take it to the exhaust shop tomorrow and finish up hiding the fuse block and ill test drive it to kansas city on friday haha.

soon ill have the ranger headlight swap and a fabricated bumper. The lights will be blacked out to flow with the grill and the bumper will be painted the same red as the truck.
