The Land of the Free

Post by Mandolin on Tue May 26, 2009 9:12 pm

I just read (in another thread) that Jimmy mentioned being in the service prior. So since we just had Memorial Day and it's on everyone's mind, who here has served our country? Who is currently in service and posting from another country? Who is maybe in the reserves?
I have a huge amount of respect for our military. I'd love to hear about any experiences. Post up men and women!

I have served proudly for 5 years in the ARMY. Started out boot camp in hot ass Ft Jackson, SC, then went to Ft Lee, VA for my schooling, then off to Ft RIley, Ks (Home of the BIG RED ONE) for the remainder. I was primarily in the 101st FSB A Co, I ended up being a SPC because the points were to high to make it to Sergeant. I was always in the field supporting the tankers and keeping the tanks rolling, That was the best five years of my life and would not trade it for anything, I also have my dog tags tatooed on my back, plan to do more.
